Opening Prayer:
**Opening Hymn: The Spacious Firmament 62
** Invocation: I will give thanks to you, O Lord, among the peoples; I will sing praises to you among the nations. For your steadfast love is as high as the heavens; your faithfulness extends to the clouds. Be exalted, O God, above the heavens. Let your glory be over all the earth.
**Call to Worship: Psalm 85
M: Lord, You have been favorable to Your land; You have brought back the captivity of Jacob.
C: You have forgiven the iniquity of Your people; You have covered all their sin. Selah
M: You have taken away all Your wrath; You have turned from the fierceness of Your anger.
C: Restore us, O God of our salvation, and cause Your anger toward us to cease. Will You be angry with us forever?
M: Will You prolong Your anger to all generations? Will You not revive us again, that Your people may rejoice in You?
C: Show us Your mercy, Lord, and grant us Your salvation.
M: I will hear what God the Lord will speak, for He will speak peace to His people and to His saints;
C: But let them not turn back to folly. Surely His salvation is near to those who fear Him,
That glory may dwell in our land.
M: Mercy and truth have met together; righteousness and peace have kissed. Truth shall spring out of the earth, and righteousness shall look down from heaven.
C: Yes, the Lord will give what is good; and our land will yield its increase.
M: Righteousness will go before Him,
C: And shall make His footsteps our pathway.
Reading of the Law: Exodus 20:1-17
**Prayer of Confession: Almighty and most merciful Father; We have erred, and strayed from thy ways like lost sheep. We have followed too much the devices and desires of our own hearts. We have offended against thy holy laws. We have left undone those things which we ought to have done; And we have done those things which we ought not to have done; And there is no health in us. But thou, O Lord, have mercy upon us, miserable offenders. Spare thou them, O God, which confess their faults. Restore thou them that are penitent; According to thy promises declared unto mankind in Christ Jesus our Lord. And grant, O most merciful Father, for his sake; That we may hereafter live a godly, righteous and sober life. To the Glory of thy holy Name. Amen.
