Opening Prayer:

**Opening Hymn: All Hail the Power of Jesus’ Name 97

** Invocation: I will give thanks to you, O Lord, among the peoples; I will sing praises to you among the nations. For your steadfast love is as high as the heavens; your faithfulness extends to the clouds. Be exalted, O God, above the heavens. Let your glory be over all the earth.

**Call to Worship: Isaiah 52:4-10

M: For thus says the Lord God: “My people went down at first into Egypt to dwell there;

C: then the Assyrian oppressed them without cause.

M: Now therefore, what have I here,” says the Lord, “That My people are taken away for nothing?

C:Those who rule over them make them wail,” says the Lord,

M: “And My name is blasphemed continually every day. Therefore My people shall know My name;

C: therefore they shall know in that day that I am He who speaks: ‘Behold, it is I.’ ”

M: How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him who brings good news, who proclaims peace, who brings glad tidings of good things,

C: who proclaims salvation, who says to Zion, “Your God reigns!”

M: Your watchmen shall lift up their voices, with their voices they shall sing together; for they shall see eye to eye when the Lord brings back Zion.

C: Break forth into joy, sing together, you waste places of Jerusalem!

M: For the Lord has comforted His people, He has redeemed Jerusalem. The Lord has made bare His holy arm in the eyes of all the nations;

C: and all the ends of the earth shall see the salvation of our God.

Reading of the Law: Exodus 20:1-17

**Prayer of Confession: Almighty and most merciful Father; We have erred, and strayed from thy ways like lost sheep. We have followed too much the devices and desires of our own hearts. We have offended against thy holy laws. We have left undone those things which we ought to have done; And we have done those things which we ought not to have done; And there is no health in us. But thou, O Lord, have mercy upon us, miserable offenders. Spare thou them, O God, which confess their faults. Restore thou them that are penitent; According to thy promises declared unto mankind in Christ Jesus our Lord. And grant, O most merciful Father, for his sake; That we may hereafter live a godly, righteous and sober life. To the Glory of thy holy Name. Amen.
